Real Madrid make fun of Barcelona and Ronald Araujo shoved Vinicius Junior. After Real Madrid’s convincing success against FC Barcelona on Wednesday at Camp Nou (0-4), in the Copa del Rey semi-final second leg, the Spanish international took advantage of being filmed by Movistar cameras to ostensibly mock the Catalan club and its defender Ronald AraĆŗjo.

As he joined the Real Madrid bus, the Andalusian repeated: āThe new era, the new eraā. Ronaldo Araujo has revealed why he shoved Vinicius Jr and sparked a brawl at the end of Barca’s loss to Real. Emotions are always on edge when Spanish football’s fiercest rivals go head-to-head, and there was no shortage of passion in Wednesday’s Copa del Rey semi-final second leg at Camp Nou. Tempers flared towards the end of the game, which saw Karim Benzema score a hat-trick in Real’s 4-0 win.
“Vinicius taunted my teammates the whole game”
Barca defender Araujo pushed Brazilian winger Vinicius to the ground at one point as a minute-long scuffle involving players from both sides broke out. Nobody really understood why the Uruguayan had acted in this way against the Brazilian when the match already seemed lost for FC Barcelona.
Uruguay international Araujo explained his gesture to reporters: “I got a little upset because he talked to my teammates throughout the game, taunting them. I’ve always said he’s a great player who will improve if he just focuses on the game. I’m always respectful, but he was talking a lot and I got a little pissed off.“
