Croatia shocks Brazil in penalty kicks at the 2022 World Cup to get to the semifinals. The 2022 World Cup semifinals will include Croatia. Following a 1-1 deadlock in regulation, Croatia defeated Brazil in penalties to extend their remarkable World Cup journey.

Marquinhos missed Brazil’s final penalty off the post while all four of Croatia’s kickers converted their attempts. After giving Brazil a 1-0 lead with his extra-time goal, Neymar’s strike appeared to be sufficient to advance the World Cup favorites to the semifinals.
