Argentina advances final by defeating Croatia 3-0

The whistle blows, and the unstoppable Lionel Messi is on his way to a decisive final on Sunday night against either France or Morocco! Argentina advances to the World Cup 2022 final by defeating Croatia 3-0.

Argentina’s 3-0 victory against Croatia on Tuesday gave Lionel Messi’s team a spot in the World Cup final in Qatar, giving the best player of his time another opportunity to win football’s most prized award.

In the 34th minute, Argentina striker Julián Alvarez clashed with Croatia goalkeeper Dominik Livakovi, leading to a penalty kick by Argentina’s captain.

Five minutes later, Alvarez completed a quick counterattack from a Croatia corner to double the lead. The Manchester City striker gained possession of the ball in his own half, made a quick pass past a Croatian defender, and then benefitted from two fortunate ricochets in the penalty area before burying the ball from six yards out.

Messi helped secure the victory in the second half with just over 20 minutes remaining. Argentina advances final by defeating Croatia 3-0
