The first leg of AC Milan vs Tottenham finished with a 1-0 win for the Rossoneri

On Valentine’s Day no less, the Champions League had a lovely evening. The Rossoneri may enter the match in London on March 8 with increased confidence after winning the first leg of the AC Milan vs. Tottenham match 1-0. After the game, the players posted on social media to rejoice.

Tottenham have it all to do in the second leg of their Champions League tie with AC Milan after losing 1-0 in the San Siro. Brahim Diaz opened the scoring inside seven minutes as the Italians got off to a flying start, with Spurs’ best moments coming via pot shots from distance. In truth, Antonio Conte’s are fortunate to still be in the tie after Milan missed two huge chances in the second half.

In the first leg of their Champions League round of 16 matchups against Spurs, Brahim Diaz gave AC Milan a 1-0 victory, but the Italians were left to regret wasting two significant opportunities in the second half.

Milan took the lead after only seven minutes. Fraser Forster wonderfully stopped Diaz’s powerful shot, but the Spaniard was there to head in the rebound. After Milan had previously failed to score at all in three of their previous five games across all competitions, it was precisely the start Stefano Pioli’s team expected.
Spurs fought back strongly after falling behind, and Antonio Conte’s team had good possession, but Milan’s defense prevented them from doing anything decisive. The spurs earned a ton of set pieces, especially in the opening period.
