Olivier Giroud breaks Thierry Henry’s French team goal record

Olivier Giroud is the top scorer in the history of the France team. This Sunday, December 4, the French striker officially exceeded the old goal record, 51, held by Thierry Henry, by scoring a goal in the quarter-finals against Poland.

In the 44th minute, Mbappé manages to cross the Polish barrier to pass Giroud in the area. The latter takes over from the left in the first intention, deceives the Polish goalkeeper, Wojciech Szczęsny, and opens the scoring for his team.

Olivier Giroud scored just before halftime to give France a 1-0 lead over Poland in their World Cup match on Sunday, becoming the nation’s all-time leading scorer in the process.
